K-12 Recycling Assistance Program
What is the K-12 Recycling Assistance Program?
The RPHF Solid Waste District will cover costs for up to two 8-yard recycling dumpsters, serviced by Rumpke Recycling. The recycling bins may be serviced once a week or once every other week based on the needs of the School District. Rumpke Recycling will determine which day the site will be serviced; however, the schedule is subject to change. Be aware of possible interferences to the schedule: faulty equipment, poor weather conditions, traffic delays, and holidays. Requests for service adjustments should be made to the RPHF Solid Waste District for approval.
The School District is responsible for recycling only clean, acceptable materials determined by Rumpke Recycling. The School District is responsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness around the recycling bins. In the event of extra service needed caused by abuse or overflow, a fee may be assessed without the prior knowledge or approval of the RPHF Solid Waste District.
The RPHF Solid Waste District will provide digital copies of recycling signage and other advertisements. Educational and promotional signage, flyers, and any other related recycling advertisements must be approved by the RPHF Solid Waste District. In-person educational assemblies and programs are available upon request.
